Scapes: Internal and External
The Artwork of Francis Fox
Francis Fox is currently a Professor of Art in Sculpture at Boise State University. He received his M.F.A. degree from the University of Wyoming in 1997 and a minor degree in Geology/Geophysics in 1985. Beyond his formal education, Fox gained sculpture skills and professional experience by working in several art-related fields including 5 years at Shidoni Art Foundry near Santa Fe, NM.
In 2011-2012 Fox was awarded an Arts and Humanities Fellowship to research 3D-digital technologies. His current studio practice combines digital processes with traditional sculpting techniques. In this exhibit, Fox presents some strange perspectives on internal and external landscapes while exploring relationships between digital and traditional materials.
