Samantha Zipporah and Frankly Burlesque proudly present “The Menstrual Show: Fruit from the Bush of Knowledge,” an artistic celebration of the menstrual cycle and PUSSY as our POINT OF ORIGIN.

“The Menstrual Show: Fruit from the Bush of Knowledge” was created to celebrate the immense beauty, power, and pleasure of our anatomy – we are all made of menstrual blood!

Conceived by the radical medicine woman Samantha Zipporah, birthed with a hand from Boise’s underboob liberator, Frankly Frankie of Frankly Burlesque, and talked out of the womb by Boise’s Best Comedians 2016 & 2018, Lady Bizness!

After thousands of years of patriarchal religious shaming and rampant misinformation, “The Menstrual Show” will demystify and de-stigmatize the cultural taboo of the menstrual cycle by playfully dispatching physiological and anatomical facts about our biology of which many average adults may be ignorant. An all-star local cast embodies the four emotional and energetic phases of the menstrual cycle, uninhibited by hormonal birth control or pregnancy, and culminating in the electric energy of an ovulating finale.

Samantha Zipporah has been serving her Boise community and keen curiosity with sexual education since puberty when as a North Junior High School student she began keeping a locker full of condoms and pamphlets from her Planned Parenthood volunteer gig. She specializes in disruptive truth-telling and inspires individuals to claim their power through body literacy and sovereignty. www.samanthazipporah.com

Frankly Burlesque, the production company of international burlesque performer and Boise native, Frankly Frankie, strives to normalize the human body through the art of burlesque and to explore the human condition, stories, and experiences. Frankly Burlesque creates shows intended as much to educate audiences as to entertain.

Lady Bizness, the comedy duo of Alisha Donahue and Jynx Jenkins were voted best comedy in Boise 2016 and 2018! They are two sweet, smoky broads who are winning at life. To know them is to love them. Lady Bizness audience members say it feels like they’re hanging out with old friends. Old hilarious friends. On stage, The Ladies’ natural chemistry, conversational charm, and quick wit transform menstrual minutiae into a rollicking report.

The Menstrual Show is a sister event of “Va-Jay-Jay Day: A Celebration of All Things Pussy” Saturday, February 9th, 10 am to 6 pm, at Wildflower Studio in downtown Boise. “Va-Jay-Jay-Day” features educational workshops, healing sessions,  and pussy portraits, and is brought to you by Samantha Zipporah & Pussy Power House, which has been called “L.A.’s hottest feminist art community” in BUST magazine.  “Va-Jay-Jay Day” attendees will receive $5 off admission with a ticket to “The Menstrual Show.” Tickets available at samanthazipporah.com
