In this exhibition, Erin Cunningham and Michael Cordell are sharing the new directions their work has taken over the past year. Both artists have been exploring their artistic processes through radical shifts in form and image.Michael Cordell presents drawings that rely on gestural abstraction to create a transportive and meditative experience for the viewer. Through a nuanced picture plane, Cordell seeks to provide a radiant, optically-charged experience that is rooted in the randomness that is used to produce the works.

Erin Cunningham is showing the first paintings in an evolving body of work that explores the body and illness. Her paintings begin with images of her own blood pathology but metamorphose through intense and expressive use of color.
